Lincoln’s Story
When Lincoln first enrolled, language skills were limited, and social interactions with peers were often hesitant. Today, the difference is remarkable.
Over the past three years, we have seen tremendous growth in Lincoln’s development through Bridgeway Academy’s preschool program. When Lincoln first enrolled, language skills were limited, and social interactions with peers were often hesitant. Today, the difference is remarkable.
One of the most significant improvements has been in language development. Vocabulary has expanded greatly, sentences are clearer and more complex, and Lincoln now communicates needs, thoughts, and feelings with confidence. The teachers consistently incorporated engaging conversations, storytelling, and interactive learning activities that supported expressive and receptive language growth. We truly believe this strong language foundation will benefit Lincoln for years to come.
Social skills have also flourished. Initially Lincoln was unsure in group settings, now Lincoln participates eagerly in class discussions, cooperative play, and group activities. The preschool staff intentionally modeled kindness, sharing, and problem-solving strategies, which helped build confidence and positive peer relationships. We have watched friendships form and social confidence blossom.
Academically, the progress has been equally impressive. Handwriting skills have developed beautifully, with noticeable improvement in pencil grip, letter formation, and overall neatness. Lincoln now recognizes uppercase and lowercase letters, identifies numbers with ease, and can read several simple sight words independently. The structured yet playful approach to early literacy and math created an environment where learning felt exciting rather than overwhelming.
The teachers are patient, nurturing, and highly skilled at meeting children where they are developmentally. Communication with families has always been clear and supportive, and it is evident that the staff genuinely care about each child’s growth.
We are incredibly grateful for Bridgeway Academy’s preschool program and the strong foundation it has provided. The growth we have seen in language, social development, handwriting, and early academic skills has been remarkable. We would highly recommend this program to any family seeking a supportive and enriching early childhood experience.
