Bridgeway Stories

Our son is entering first grade and is 7 years old. He has level 3 autism and is non-verbal. We started our journey at another organization but the demands on travel and time were concerns and we made the decision to switch to Bridgeway full time.

Since his enrollment, my son has been lucky enough to meet a group of teachers who have shown him so much love and acceptance. The smiles he shares with his teachers are second only to his mother and I.

He has seen vast improvements in his physical strength and balance, to the point that he’s doing gymnastics as his favorite recreational activity.

He is writing his name alone, holding a pen correctly for the first time. He has the ability to use utensils to eat and he is sleeping in his own bed and sleeping throughout the night. Life changing support and education.

When I describe Bridgeway as the single most important institution in our lives, it isn’t exaggeration or hyperbole.

It continues to give our son the best chance imaginable to live a life of self-sufficiency.
